DAY 1 SAN SALVADOR
Arrival to El Salvador International Airport, where you will be met by our representative. Transfer to the hotel in San Salvador Welcome cocktail at selected hotel in San Salvador

Day 2 Joya de Ceren- Archeological site declared world heritage by UNESCO
Volcanic landscape of the eruption of the Quezaltepec Volcano – Joya de Ceren Archaeological site
Joya de Ceren is considered to be the most important archeological site ever discovered in El Salvador. To leave the city we will take the Quezaltepeque highway, driving through this highway we will be able to appreciate one of the petrified lava rivers of the last eruption of the Quezaltepeque volcano, in 1917, now known as San Salvador’s volcano. We will stop to admire this beautiful landscape. After this we shall continue to our main destination: Joya de Ceren which was declared world heritage by UNESCO in 1993 for being the only location in the whole Mayan culture where you can appreciate the day to day living styles of the popular pre-Columbian inhabitants. All was well preserved thanks to the ashes of the volcano’s eruption .We will return to the city through the Pan-American Highway going up and through the mountains that belong to El Balsamo´s mountain range, and to finish our tour, we will stop at a restaurant to enjoy a good local lunch. After lunch, in the early afternoon, transfer to the enchanting Hotel La Posada de Suchitlan in Suchitoto, one of the country’s oldest cities. Lodging at Hotel La Posada de Suchitlan. (B,L)

Day 3 Suchitoto and Lake Suchitlan
Lake Suchitlan – Bird Island – The town of Suchitoto – Lunch with the magnificent view of Lake Suchitlan – Colonial church of Suchitoto – Stroll through the town of Suchitoto
If you have ever had the desire to visit a beautiful colonial city and enjoy nature, this is the ideal place for you. Our destination is Suchitoto, a beautiful colonial city that dwells between the Guazapa volcano and the magnificent Lake of Suchitlan. When we reach the city we will visit Puerto San Juan, at the feet of Lake Suchitlan, where we will board a typical boat to go see the Bird Island, a real natural paradise, home to thousands of birds. We will then return to Puerto San Juan to have lunch. After a good lunch we will stroll through Suchitoto. The beauty of this town starts from its exotic landscapes that combine the colonial architecture with the mountains up to its antique cobble stone roads. The guided tour on foot will take us to visit its theater, church, plazas and admire its colonial architecture. Lodging at Hotel La Posada de Suchitlan. (B,L)

Day 4 La Palma – City of Artisans
The town of La Palma – Handcraft workshops – workshops galleries – The village of San Ignacio
In this journey we will take you to La Palma, one of the most re-known cities for its art. Here interesting crafts are painted on wood and Copinol seeds with a singular artistic expression and beautiful colors. Also, because we will be at an altitude of 1200 mts above sea level you are going to find a very pleasant climate. In La Palma, we will visit local craftsman’s workshops; so we can have the opportunity to learn about their art and above all, you will be able to participate in the elaboration of one of these beautiful pieces and take it home as a souvenir of your unforgettable stay as a courtesy of MT TRAVEL SERVICES. After lunch we will re-take our journey to the town of San Ignacio, a gorgeous and quiet place located on the roots of the Pital Mountain, the highest mountain of El Salvador. Return to San Salvador in the late afternoon for lodging at selected Hotel. Evening transfer to a local restaurant for a farewell dinner. Transfer form local restaurant to selected hotel for lodging. DAY 5 EL SALVADOR/ U.S.
